The game belongs to the classic puzzle-solving genre, but introduces a unique twist through the use of zero-knowledge proofs. Zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) are a way to prove you know something without revealing what it is (for example, showing you have the password without saying the password). They are used in blockchain to prove that a transaction is valid without revealing any details about it, helping to keep data private while still ensuring trust and security.
This allows players to create their own puzzles and challenge others to solve them armed only with a proof that at least one valid solution exists.
The design was inspired by the puzzle's name, Spiral Galaxies, evoking themes of space and advanced technology. Rather than following the typical visual language of space games like Starcraft, the goal was to establish a more minimalistic, modern aesthetic that feels both fresh and sophisticated.
