A mobile app created for a fitness influencer to host her signature workout programs and healthy recipes. The app offers structured training plans, step-by-step exercise guidance, and curated meal ideas.
Client: Fitness influencer
Project Type: Native app development
My Role: UI/UX Designer
Background
The client’s goal was to transform her successful fitness programs into an app while ensuring it was not centered around her personal brand. She wanted the app to reach a diverse audience outside her fan circle.
Additionally, a key focus was to create a diet-culture-free environment to promote a balanced and mindful approach to health.

My Role
I joined the project at its earliest stages, right after the initial kick-off workshop, and played an important role in developing the product from concept to launch. For a significant part of the project, I was the sole designer, responsible for end-to-end design tasks.
— Concept creation
— Wireframing
— Design system management
— UI design & micro-animation development
— Hand-Off Documentation
— User research
— User testing

Design & Development Process

* Activities I participated in.
🎯 Understanding the Vision
The project started with a workshop with the client to define the app’s vision and goals. From this, the team developed a basic information architecture, mapping out the core structure of the app.
🔍 Wireframing & User Research
When I joined the project, my primary focus was on defining the app structure and screen flows through wireframes. At the same time, we conducted a user survey to identify key priorities and decide what mattered most to users and what could be deprioritized.
🎨 Establishing the Design System & Ways of Working
While I worked on the wireframes, other designers established a design system to ensure consistency across the app. We then held a workshop with developers to define ways of working and ensure smooth collaboration.
🕵️♀️ Usability Testing & MVP Release
Once core flows were ready in Figma, we ran several rounds of usability testing, where I actively participated in analyzing feedback and refining the designs. This helped us to shape the final MVP, which was released shortly after.
🔮 Shaping the Product’s Next Steps
After the MVP launch, the other designers gradually stepped away, and I took over:
— Handling the detailed design for new features.
— Maintaining and updating the design system.
— Engaging in continuous product discovery and user feedback analysis (in close collaboration with the development team).
— Contributing to roadmapping, strategic planning, and co-facilitating regular team workshops.

The app received positive reviews regarding its design and user experience, reaching #1 in the category “Health & Fitness”
in the Dutch AppStore.
